Title: HYPNOTIZING THE HARD TO HYPNOTIZE
Keyconcept: We will consider the difficulties sometimes encountered in hypnotising those who appear hard to hypnotise. I will question both the concept of “analyticals” and challenge the popular notion that confusion is the best technique for such people. I will argue instead that an induction that is a teaching exercise and/or involving phenomena is the best approach.
I will give two examples of such inductions.
Application: Participants will come away with less fear over hypnotizing “difficult” clients and will new inductions to use for so-called analyticals.
